There’s a good chance Josh Jooris’ dog is about to become more famous than he is.

Last Thursday, the former Penguins center posted a video on Instagram of his Australian Shepherd, Charlie, singing along when the Lil Nas X hit “Old Town Road” starts playing. The video went viral.

As of Monday morning, Jooris had 13,300 followers on Instagram (@joshjooris). Charlie had more than 20,000 followers (@aussiethecharlie).

Jooris, a 29-year-old center, played nine games for the Penguins after joining the team in a trade deadline deal in February of 2018. After playing last season in the AHL with the Toronto Marlies, he signed with Lausanne HC in the Swiss league.
