Ithiel Horton, a 6-foot-3, 200-pound guard who averaged 13.2 points last season as a freshman at Delaware, reported Wednesday on his Instagram account that he plans to transfer to Pitt.

He has previously posted that he was choosing between Pitt and Arkansas. Horton will sit out 2019-20 via NCAA transfer rules and have three seasons of eligibility remaining.

A member of the Colonial Athletic Association all-rookie team in 2018-19, Horton shot 43.3 percent from the field and 40.9 from beyond the 3-point arc while averaging 32.6 minutes for the Blue Hens.

He tied Delaware’s freshman record with 31 points against North Carolina-Wilmington, including a school-record nine 3s.

Horton, a native of Vauxhall, N.J., was a versatile player for the Blue Hens, totaling more assists than turnovers (52/47), with 33 steals. He also was fourth among CAA rookies with 3.1 rebounds per game.
