Motorists traveling through Ross Township are reminded that a portion of Reis Run Road remains closed while crews correct a landslide.

The road is shut down in both directions between Rochester and Arndt roads to everyone except local residents.

Other traffic will be detoured to Rochester Road where they can circle back to the other end of Reis Run.

A landslide on private property came down on May 31.

PennDOT geotechnical engineers are monitoring the site because the hillside continues to move, officials said Monday.

“In the interest of public safety, the department will keep the roadway closed until further notice,” spokesman Steve Cowan said.

Motorists can keep up to date on the work, along with other projects, at 511PA.com.
