A Greensburg woman is accused of directing racial slurs toward a group of people gathered outside her Eastmont Drive apartment.

Greensburg police charged Fallon Eckenrode, 25, with ethnic intimidation, harassment and disorderly conduct in the incident they say happened just before 10 p.m. on June 19 in the 700 block of Eastmont.

According to court documents, a woman told city Patrolman Kenneth Burke that Eckenrode directed racial slurs toward her while yelling out the apartment window at a group of people outside who were setting off fireworks.

Burke said, when Eckenrode partially opened her apartment door, she admitted to screaming racial slurs out the window and continued to use slurs and screamed at police officers.

The case is proceeding by summons, with Eckenrode facing an Aug. 22 hearing before Greensburg District Judge Chris Flanigan.
