Tony Award-winning performer Billy Porter, who starred in Kinky Boots, is set to receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, according to Variety.
Porter, 49, has performed in many Broadway shows including: Shuffle Along, Grease, Five Guys Named Moe and Miss Saigon. The longtime veteran is best known for playing Lola in Kinky Boots.
According to Broadway.com, he earned Hollywood acclaim for portraying Pray Tell on the FX series Pose.

Porter will be honored at a Los Angeles ceremony at a later date.
Other performers getting stars on the Walk of Fame with ties to Broadway are Christina Applegate (Sweet Charity, 2005) and comedian Dave Chappelle, who this summer will have a five-performance engagement on Broadway, the website reported.
