An argument in Munhall early Tuesday left one man with a gunshot wound to the face, police said.

The shooting happened at a home on East 11th Avenue about 2:30 a.m., according to Allegheny County police Sgt. Venerando Costa.

Paramedics took a 45-year-old man to the hospital where he remained in critical but stable condition Tuesday afternoon, Costa said. He’d been shot in the face.

Investigators said a fight between the victim and another man in the home preceded the shooting. It was not clear how many people were in the house at the time. Costa said all were interviewed.

The District Attorney’s Office will decide whether charges are filed against the shooter, he said.

Anyone with information regarding the altercation and shooting can call the county police tip line at 1-833-255-8477.
