Sign-ups underway for 23rd annual Ross fishing tournament

Registration is open for Ross Township residents interested in participating in the 23rd annual fishing tournament July 13 and 14 at Evergreen Community Park.

The free competitive event sponsored by the township police department includes refreshments, a picnic lunch, prizes and trophies.

Tournament Divisions and the day on which they are scheduled to compete are:

July 13

5 and under, 6 through 8, 9 through 11 and 12 through 14.

July 14

15 through 17, adults 18 through 59, seniors 60 and older, people of all ages with special needs.

The deadline to sign up is 4 p.m. July 8.

Check-in on tournament days starts at 8 a.m. and fishing begins at 8:30.

Participants 14 and younger must be accompanied by an adult.

All contestant are limited to one fishing pole and their tackle. Participants can bring a chair if they wish to sit while fishing.
