A man shot several times Wednesday in Pittsburgh’s Brighton Heights neighborhood has died, according to the medical examiner’s office.

Tre Valorie, 26, was pronounced dead about 6:45 p.m. Thursday, less than a day after he was shot while driving on Woods Run Road with a female passenger, according to police.

The shooting happened about 11:45 p.m., and Pittsburgh police received a notification from the city’s ShotSpotter system followed by a 911 call for a person who had been shot, police said.

Officers arrived and found a man, later identified as Valorie, in his car in a parking lot, police said. He’d been shot multiple times.

The woman in the car was uninjured.

Police continue to investigate. No arrests have been made.
