A section of Guffey Road in North Huntingdon has been closed as PennDOT crews work on landslide repair.

Guffey is closed between Turner Valley Road and Mickanin Road. The closure will last about two weeks, weather permitting.

Drivers coming from Irwin will turn left onto Mickanin Road and travel out to Robbins Station Road. Drivers coming from Turner Valley road will stay right on Guffey and travel to Mars Hill Road.

In PennDOT’s District 12, there are more than 280 active landslide locations as of late April, according to department press secretary Alexis Campbell.

Guffey was closed for several weeks in 2016, between Mickanin and Shaner roads, for a previous landslide.
