A man was in critical condition early Thursday after Pittsburgh police say he was shot multiple times in Brighton Heights.

The shooting was reported just before 11:45 p.m. Wednesday in the 1200 block of Woods Run Avenue.

Police officers from Zone 1 first received a ShotSpotter notification, followed by 911 calls of a person shot. When they arrived at the scene, they found a man in a vehicle in a parking lot who had been shot several times, public safety spokeswoman Cara Cruz said. He was taken to a hospital in critical condition.

Cruz said the man’s female passenger was able to escape unharmed. Police are looking for one or more suspects.

Police are investigating.
