A non-profit organization that supports organ transplant patients, donors and their families is holding a community blood drive party from 3 to 8 p.m. on Monday, May 6 at Painting with a Twist in Wexford.
The event will include raffles for prizes as well as group art projects led by artists from Painting with a Twist, which is donating its space for the fundraiser.
food trucks from Ash/Kris Kitchen and Graeter’s Ice Cream will be on hand from 4 to 7 p.m.
The event is being sponsored by the Team Fishguy Transplant Foundation, which works to raise awareness about organ donation in addition to assisting the families of people undergoing transplant operations.
Representatives from C.O.R.E. — the Center for Organ Recovery and Education — will be on hand to sign up organ donors.
Painting with a Twist is located at 10 North Meadows Drive in Wexford.
