UPMC Western Psychiatric Hospital will have a new president in May.
It will be a homecoming for Deborah Brodine, who started her career 25 years ago at the hospital in Pittsburgh’s Oakland neighborhood.
“I am very eager and honored to partner with the other members of this incredible and talented team to continue our mission and grow our legacy,” Brodine said in a news release.
She now serves as president of UPMC Community Provider Services.
Brodine will maintain the leadership position of some UPMC Community Provider Services divisions, the hospital said and also will remain as president of UPMC Senior Services, where she will continue to oversee UPMC Senior Communities and UPMC Home Healthcare and hospice services.
UPMC executive Leslie C. Davis touted Brodine’s long career and said she will “expertly lead and oversee the growth of UPMC’s behavioral health services” in the new position, according to a news release.
