Alec Baldwin says beating Trump in presidential election would be easy
Alec Baldwin, who has had a second career portraying President Donald Trump on “Saturday Night Live” for over two years, thinks he would beat Trump if he ran for president.
Baldwin tweeted Monday, ”If I ran for President, would you vote for me? I won’t ask you for any $. And I promise I will win.”
He added “Beating Trump would be so easy. So easy. So easy.”
Baldwin then posted that the response to the tweet was better than actual polling, “These tweets save me millions in polling.”
If I ran for President, would you vote for me?
I won’t ask you for any $.
And I promise I will win.
Beating Trump would be so easy.
So easy.
So easy.

The 61-year-old actor has been a thorn in the president’s side with his scathing portrayal on “SNL.” Baldwin’s caricature of Trump usually include pursed lips, orange makeup, constant tweeting and outrageous quotes.
Trump has not been a fan of Baldwin’s portrayal on “SNL.”
In February after “SNL” ran a skit featuring Baldwin as Trump answering questions from the Rose Garden about a border wall. The next morning Trump responded with a tweet that said, “Nothing funny about tired Saturday Night Live on Fake News NBC!”
Nothing funny about tired Saturday Night Live on Fake News NBC! Question is, how do the Networks get away with these total Republican hit jobs without retribution? Likewise for many other shows? Very unfair and should be looked into. This is the real Collusion!

Whether Baldwin is serious about running against Trump is unclear. USA Today reported that his rep declined to comment on the topic.
