Westbound motorists on the Pennsylvania Turnpike may experience delays Wednesday while crews apply pavement markings between the Allegheny Valley and Butler Valley exits.

Three intermittent, 15-minute traffic paces are planned between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. to allow completion of the work. During the paces, turnpike maintenance crews and state police will restrict traffic to speeds between 20 mph and 25 mph.

Those driving in the affected area should be prepared for traffic to move slowly and possibly stop, turnpike officials advised.
