North Hills gardeners looking ahead to the spring planting season can get what they need to beautify their landscapes while helping out a local organization devoted to environmental awareness and stewardship.

The North Area Environmental Council, which is marking its 50 year, is now taking orders for its annual seedling sale.

An array of seedlings are available to grow trees, shrubs and wildflowers that are native to Pennsylvania or are non-invasive. Prices start at $4.

Orders must be placed and paid for by April 5.

Seed orders will be available for pickup at the Latodomi Nature Center in North Park between 9 a.m. and noon on April 27. The nature center is located at 575 Brown Road.

The seedling catalog and order form are available online.
