A Brackenridge man was taken to a local hospital Wednesday following a two-vehicle collision near Highlands Middle School in Harrison.

The collision happened about 9:40 a.m. at the intersection of Freeport Road and Argonne Drive.

Harrison police Sgt. Joshua Acre identified the drivers as Shawn Rittman, 57, of Brackenridge and Dana Jackson, 42, of West Leechburg. Both were the only people in their vehicles.

Acre said Rittman was headed south on Freeport Road, attempting to turn left onto Argonne Drive. Rittman didn’t see Jackson, who was headed north on Freeport Road, and the two collided, Acre said.

Neither were speeding, Acre said.

Rittman suffered a cut on his right hand and was taken by ambulance to Allegheny Valley Hospital to be evaluated, Acre said.
